Chocolate Tax In UK

In UK, British Medical Association’s Scottish local medical committee conference next week will include recommendations for the government to impose a heavy tax on chocolate to fight obesity. Seriously i believe that the implementation of chocolate tax is just the matter of time =D It will just be like just cigar / booze, in order to improve the health. By increasing the price of products containing chocolate would help reduce consumption and bring in more money from tax to the government for improving the health problems !!! What do you think?

Don't think it will work la seriously. Policies of imposing heavier tax on cigar or alcohol thingy have been going on since don't know when but hv u really heard of any positive feedback in terms of the community well being?? It's just gonna bring more money to the govt. Heavy tax doesn't stop people from being additive to whatever whatever. Education does (well I hope so, at least in some ways!)

Chocolate is NOT totally bad for health! It helps reduce stresses!!! I can't imagine that we actually have to buy expensive chocolate in the future....NOOOOOOOO.....

but they look so good! actually tax will make no difference, it does not work on other vices like alcohol or cigarettes, but the governments love extra taxes so they probably will just for the free cash. its an epidemic lifestyle issue, the food industry only feeds the demand.
