I have heard bout the production of DragonBall The Movie by using real actors since the year of 2005. And they're finally showing on screen at the 12 march 2009, which is after the day of my birthday =D However, i'm not surprised that this movie is going to be a sux show.Firstly, the storyline of the dragonball is totally different from the dragonball from Jump Shonen. Goku was supposed to come from a forest, and from there he met Bulma who was on the way of searching dragonball bla bla bla...However, the show makes Goku into a highschool boy who receives an order from Master Roshi to look for Dragonball and he meets Bulma during his journey bla bla bla...This has greatly received heavy critics as well as unsatisfaction from all the fans of Dragonball. However, commented from Akira Toriyama, the author of Dragonball, he wishes that movie of Dragonball Revolution to be totally different from his manga production, this gives the audience and the fans of Dragonball a new look and new experience. I'm agree with that actually, instead of watching a show with all the storyline that u have known or understand, why don't we watch a show which starts from everything new or fresh?
Secondly, referred from all the newspaper, there was a rumour bout the producer, Stephen Chow, who isn't satisfied with the admins of 20th century fox as they kept banning Stephen's idea and they didn't allow Stephen to be fully authorized in shooting the film. Stephen Chow insists of attending any meeting, movie campaigns or even the lauching of the movie (primier), to show his unrespect to the company.
Moreover, when comes to translating the subtitles into chinese. the movie has undergone various difficulties. In China, 武昆 (sounds like battle stick) will be used to replace the name of 悟空 (Goku). Sound funny right? =D Anyway, i just hope to watch a good movie, naming issue doesn't really concern me.
